The original Patented Cappa® Band reshapes the cap so it sits over your hair instead of flattening it — no pinning, no taping, no compromise on the day you have been working toward.

Works on every hair type. A standard cap traps heat against your forehead, smudges your makeup before photos start, and sits awkwardly on natural or curly hair. The Cappa® Band holds the cap properly over your hair so it stays put and stays photo-ready. Weighing only 1.4 ounces, it disappears inside the cap. You won't feel you're wearing it.

No bobby pins, no glue, no tape. Pins slip out mid-ceremony and leave you adjusting your cap in every picture. The Cappa® Band secures the cap with a headband, so once it is on, it stays where you put it.

On in under a minute. Three pieces, no tools. Slide the shaper into the cap, tuck the fabric, click in the headband and turn the dial until snug. Full instructions and video included.

How it works

  1. Insert the large Cappa® Band shaping insert into the graduation cap.
  2. Fold the excess fabric into the large shaping insert.
  3. Insert the smaller Cappa® Band shaper into the larger shaper to secure the cap fabric. Stretch the excess fabric until it is taut.
  4. Insert the headband into the headband slot. Place the dial on, push it down, and turn it to the right until the headband feels secure.
